8ply (DK) yarn of choice
2 buttons to match
Cast on 18 sts, HDC in 3rd ch from hook, HDC across, ch2 turn (16 HDC)
Row 2 - 11: HDC across, ch2 turn (do not chain 2 on row 11)
At end of Row 11 ch 1, turn sideways
Working up side, sc 8 sts evenly. Ch1 turn
Row 2 : work in back loops only, sc across, ch1 turn.
Repeat row 2 till you have 16 rows (16 mock ribs created)
Fasten off. Leave 18” tail for sewing up (optional)
Construction
Sew A & B together, making sure to line up work.
Fold across G
Thread through C, pull tight to gather bottom of toe, secure.
Thread through D, pull tight to gather top of toe, secure.
Sew E & F together.
Turn inside out,
Attach button to top where D gathers.
